Mosser Construction was the general trades prime contractor on this educational showcase where students from five counties and 16 school districts train for careers as diverse as dental assistants and auto mechanics to cosmetologist, floral designers, and veterinarian technicians.
The 522,000 sf facility, with a central core and three wings, rests on 56 acres of a 150-acre site that includes a pond and wooded area. The central core contains a common area, multipurpose room, student services, 600-seat auditorium, administrative offices, academic classrooms, media center, food service operation and the culinary arts program with a state-of-the-art kitchen.
This 30-month project required 420,000 cubic yards of concrete, 150 tons of reinforcing steel, and 610,000 concrete blocks.
Mosser was responsible for site coordination and scheduling among the 80 contractors involved in the project.
