The Port Clinton Wastewater Treatment Plant High Rate Settling Treatment System was constructed for flows ranging from 1 mgd to 24 mgd, The project consisted of:

      • Headworks Facility complete with influent area, vortex valves, automatic bar screens, fine screen, odor control unit, and influent pumps
      • Primary Treatment Facility complete with grit removal system, chemical mixing chambers, and high rate primary settling tanks
      • Tertiary pumps and minor tertiary improvements were implemented to move flow from the Primary Treatment facility back to the existing tertiary treatment part of the plant
      • The existing headworks area was abandoned, filled, and converted to an emergency generator facility
      • Modifications were also made to the existing chlorine contact tank area and a new parshall effluent metering flume was added
