Nearly two years passed between the budget construction estimate and the execution of the construction documents for this project, critical time which brought a major design change and double-digit inflation to the sky rocketing steel and energy prices. Value engineering and cost reduction options allowed the parish several choices for cost containment, resulting in $800,000 being trimmed from the project’s bottom line. Mosser Construction ensured the final product still became the building the Parish wanted, including a spacious gym and welcoming Family Center. When budget constraints threatened a key element in the Pastor’s plan, a striking fireplace gathering area and focal point at the main entrance of the Family Center, Mosser’s superintendent personally took charge, ensuring the client’s complete satisfaction.
