With Independence Day around the corner, we thought we’d share a news story that focuses on a different type of engineering than what you’d typically hear about from Mosser. But it’s exciting news!

Firework engineers are working hard to develop new chemical compounds to create the same brilliant colors we see explode in the air to celebrate the birth of our country, but without so many harsh chemicals.

In this article posted on Chemical & Engineering News, author Sarah Everts discusses how red fireworks are going “green.” What may seem like a complicated engineering feat to us, just may be closer than you think. And we couldn’t be happier that this change has become a priority for the industry.
