The center features a large show room, library with a window on wildlife, a classroom with seating for 30 people and a 72” Smart TV, children’s area, and covered balcony overlooking Muddy Creek. It also includes offices and an exhibit area. The exterior has a wrap-around deck with spectacular views of the wildlife.
The Nature Center has a poured concrete basement which leads directly out to Mud Creek. The intent for this space is to allow young explorers to walk directly from the center out to the creek and connect with nature in the wildlife area. Children are even encouraged to get muddy and bring “critters” back to the basement for further examination.
The nature centers is open year-round, with a bird station set up on site for the study of birds and their migratory patterns.
