We work with a broad customer base including Mosser Group affiliated companies, contractors, municipalities, industrial clients, and DIY homeowners.

Summary


Reporting to the Store Manager, the Sales/Service Technician will hold a multi-role position that will help in all areas of the store with a focus on sales & service, occasionally helping with delivery.


The Opportunity:


  • Maintain and repair company, rental, and customer equipment.
  • Perform maintenance checks and preventative maintenance on company rental equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair company and customer equipment.
  • Complete required paperwork and work orders accurately.
  • Communicate with supervisor and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing job duties.
  • Load, secure, and protect merchandise and/or equipment for safe transport to customers.
  • Provide delivery service to and from the customer and document the transaction.
  • Instruct customers on proper start-up and use of our equipment.
  • Review and confirm rental equipment is in an acceptable condition for customer rental and upon return. Report and document issues to Store Manager.
  • Help and assist maintaining rental fleet equipment and notify of repairs needed to Lead Mechanic and Store Manager.
  • Provide store area sales assistance, customer service, and product information support.
  • Perform general showroom sales duties as directed by Storage Manager.
  • Demonstrate supplies, tools or equipment to customers as required and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.

The Qualifications:


  • The right candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a strong focus on customer service.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License with driving record acceptable to company insurance requirements.
  • Previous experience in small tools and equipment repairs or other related fields.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment.
  • Able to lift 20 to 50 pounds and up to 75 pounds occasionally with the use of mechanical assistance.
  • Able to load, secure, and unload small equipment on trucks and trailers.

What to Expect:


  • Anticipate 50% of time will be spent in the store assisting customers and 50% of time in the warehouse environment or repair shop. A portion of either of these times will be spent outside loading/unloading or checking out equipment.
