The Ronald McDonald House, Toledo’s home-away-from-home, offers families who travel to Toledo for their children’s specialized medical care a warm, safe, clean, and friendly environment. The Ronald McDonald House has fourteen private bedrooms and bathrooms, a spacious kitchen with well-stocked pantries, refrigerators, freezers, family-friendly dining and living rooms, a den, two age-appropriate play rooms, laundry facilities, an outdoor deck and play yard, and secure parking. The Ronald McDonald House serves over 400 families each year, with the average length of stay being 8 days.
In May, volunteers from the Mosser team, worked to prepare the Ronald McDonald House site for spring. After one of the harshest winters in Ohio history, the grounds were cluttered with debris from branches to garbage, and the soil, grass, and plantings were in desperate need of some TLC.
Our crew, armed with rakes, shovels, and muscles set about to beautify a property that has such significant value not only in our community but also to the hearts of the families who, under awful circumstances, find themselves staying there.
We were thrilled to be part of Clean Up Day and look forward to lending our muscles to the cause again!
